Our barricade system has achieved a Class 1 Fire Rating, the highest fire rating in the industry. All materials used in our barricade installations meet or exceed all international building and fire codes including ASTM-E84 for flame spread and smoke development.

Even better, our Class 1 Fire Rated barricade wall panels come standard with every modular barricade job, with no additional charge.

Why are Class 1 Fire Rated modular barricades important?

Building regulations and fire codes are strict for all construction sites. Barricades, like all structures, must comply with these regulations. Failure to comply could result in liability or adverse consequences from building inspectors.

To comply with these regulations, building operations managers and contractors often create their own fire-rated barricade wall and door solutions. Ad-hoc barricades often lead to inefficient installation and design. The Center Stage Productions Class 1 Fire Rated Modular Barricade System is easy to install and compliant with fire code regulations.

See the comparison below for the differences between Center Stage Productions modular barricades and standard drywall barricades.

Center Stage’s Class 1 Fire Rated Modular Barricades vs Fire Rated Drywall Barricades

Fire Rated Drywall Barricades

Process

The cumbersome installation process may involve “Type X” fire rated gypsum drywall, spackle and tape, followed by sanding, a second coat of spackle, primer and paint, which need to meet fire codes. Fire rated steel doors and jams are also often required, adding additional material and labor costs.

Installation Timeframe

2-3 nights

Damage to the Floor

Drilling holes in the floor is required to secure the wall track floor framing. The patching process never matches the original flooring, leaving permanent blemishes in front of a brand new tenant.

Graphics Installation

Adding graphics to the surface of a drywall barricade is not easy as the adhesive sticks instantly, making the graphics difficult to manipulate.

Waste Handling

When a drywall barricade is dismantled, it is thrown in a dumpster bound for a landfill. Dumpster and landfill fees are an additional expense.

Fire Inspection Process

Stressful.
