How to Attract Shoppers with Commercial Décor Beyond Christmas Time

Move over Christmas, commercial holiday décor is expanding! Many shopping centers are moving beyond the traditional Santa sets when it comes to holiday décor. Malls have realized they can attract more visitors throughout the year by decorating for other seasons.

In recent years, we’ve created unique seasonal décor for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Halloween and Hanukkah. Delighted guests have been snapping photos and sharing them on social media, providing shopping centers with free exposure and attracting more visitors! As a leading designer and manufacturer of commercial décor, we can create customized decorations to fulfill your unique vision of any holiday or event.

Take a peek at some of our recent work for the following holidays:

Valentine’s Day

Why not brighten up the gray days of winter with interior and exterior Valentine’s Day Décor?  At Center Stage Productions, one of our festive displays included eight-foot tall foam letters spelling out the word “LOVE” and a giant red floating heart hung above the letters. The letters and heart were cut out from foam and then hard coated with rosin, using state of the art machinery.  These pieces were then hand finished with red metallic floral sheeting, reminiscent of rose petals.

Would you like to decorate the exterior of your mall? Not a problem! A pair of bold red lips created with brilliant LED lights will be seen from blocks away!Valentines-decor-Collage

St. Patrick’s Day

Did you know nearly 127 million Americans planned to celebrate the traditional Irish holiday? Did your mall take advantage of the holiday with seasonal décor? We designed a festive 8 foot shamrock for the Paramus Park Mall. It was composed of 20 yards of green metallic floral sheeting and hung proudly over the fountain in the mall’s center.

Center Stage Productions created egg-stra special Easter décor for numerous General Growth Properties shopping centers. We designed and manufactured unique homes for the Easter bunny that included bright flowers and decorated eggs of varied sizes, prints and patterns. The bunny’s throne, where photo opportunities take place, was a larger than life sculpted egg. We decorated the eggs with a variety of fun patterns composed of polka dots, stripes and argyle. 2015-03-26 22.01.11

General Growth Properties chose Center Stage Productions to create their “Mall-O-Ween Adventure,” a fun filled Halloween promotional environment. Décor featured seven custom designed self-standing forms, each with their own Halloween personality and multiple cutouts for photo stand-ins.  The centerpiece standee of the group was a haunted house which was surrounded by a pleasant pumpkin patch, a group of ghastly ghosts, a batch of black bats, frightful trick-or-treaters, freaky Frankenstein and finally, Grimm Reapers for the most daring guests. GGP malls paired the spooky Halloween displays with social media contests and shoppers happily shared pictures of themselves at the Mall-O-Ween set on Instagram or Twitter. halloween_0004_Screenshot 2014-10-28 23.05.18

CenterStage Productions has been designing menorahs and dreidels for seasonal displays for years. We offer both contemporary and traditional designs to capture the essence of your brand. menorah-4

Our holiday displays are also a great way to attract sponsors. Sponsors can choose to have their brand on the exterior of your display, which can be seen from a variety of viewpoints. Sponsors may want to incorporate their logo on some of the pieces inside your display. These temporary embellishments are easy to replace as sponsorship changes from year to year.

Seasonal décor can create a fun, exciting and meaningful environment for your guests. It sets you apart from the competition and builds interest in your community. Stunning décor will prompt guests to share pictures on their social media sites, thus increasing the exposure of your shopping center and providing an even greater return on your investment.
